Some Most Successful Baseball Clubs

The Major League is the world's largest baseball league and the oldest of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. It also features some of the richest sports teams in the world. Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball league with 30 teams: 29 from the United States and one from Canada. Teams play 162 games each season, with five teams from each league advancing to a four-round playoff competition that culminates in the storied World Series.

The Globe Series is one of the determining criteria in identifying the most successful baseball clubs in Major League Baseball (MLB) and, without a doubt, the best teams in the world. Since 1903, the National League (NL) and American League (AL) champions have competed in a best-of-seven championship series.

A well-known baseball team is the New York Yankees. For many years, the Yankees have been the greatest team in the Eastern Division. The Baltimore Orioles were created in 1901, and their name was changed to the New York Yankees in 1913. The New York Yankees have won the World Series 27 times, the most recent in 2009. Since its establishment, the organization has hosted some of baseball's finest players, including Reggie Jackson and Whitey Ford. The Yankees have 27 players inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Another great baseball team is the Boston Red Sox. It is one of the Eastern Conference's most skilled squads. It was established in 1901. The team was renamed the Red Sox in 1908 after being known as the Red Stockings. The Boston Red Sox have won seven World Series championships, the most recent in 2007. The New York Yankees are their biggest adversary.

The Boston Red Sox has a long and illustrious baseball history, including a 1946 World Series victory. They've been one of the most successful clubs in the league since 2003, with every home game sold out for the past seven years.

The Eastern Division also includes the Philadelphia Phillies, a renowned baseball team. This baseball team was founded in 1883 in Philadelphia. Only twice have the Phillies won the World Series, the most recent in 2008. The New York Mets are the Philadelphia Phillies' biggest adversary. The team has garnered a sizable fan base in recent years. They're quickly establishing themselves as one of the most successful clubs in the Eastern Division.

Another team worth mentioning is the St. Louis Cardinals, who play in the Central Division. Since 1990, the squad has been known as the Cardinals. They've won ten World Series championships, the most recent in 2006. The St. Louis Cardinals were the first team to win the World Series in their first season, in 1926, after the New York Yankees. The Chicago Cubs are their primary opponents.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers are a major-league baseball team founded in 1883 and competed in the Western Division. They've won seven World Series titles, with the most recent coming in 1988. The Dodgers have a long rivalry with the San Francisco Giants. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the dodgers is they have won more National League championships than anybody else (18 times).
